A GROUP of go-ahead farmers will be learning how to be effective communicators as part of a regional initiative to get farmers speaking out for their industry and the public backing UK farming.
Fifteen farmers from across the region will take part in a two-day communications training programme, at Great Wollaston Farm, Shrewsbury and Warren Farm, Bromyard.
The courses will equip farmers with the skills and know-how to be effective communicators.
Heather Gorringe who runs Wiggly Wigglers, a Herefordshire company supplying worms, said: "In the current climate of rolling news, I think farmers can often feel frustrated that our message is lost or completely different by the time it gets to the consumer."
