SIR - Tom Wareing (Letters, Monday, October 24) upbraids me, but does not say why.
I assume it has to do with my recent riposte to G Cowley's unwarranted criticism of Mayor Aubrey Tarbuck. Fair enough. However, I am bemused by the references to Messrs Liam Fox and David Cameron.
