ST JOHN'S Players are set to stage Ivan Menchell's The Cemetery Club from tomorrow at the Swan Theatre in Worcester.
The amateur production promises to make the audience laugh a lot and maybe even cry a little.
Director Ray Archer said the play was performed around 18 months ago as part of St John's Players' 55th anniversary at the Norbury Theatre, in Friar Street, Droitwich.
Mr Archer said: "It was very successful then so we decided to bring it back to a bigger venue.
"It is very well written it's very funny and very sad."
The touching and witty play, set in New York, depicts three feuding Jewish women, Ida, Lucille and Doris. They are part of the Cemetery Club and trundle off to the cemetery each week to catch up with their late husbands and have a good old gossip.
But when Sam meets the widows as he visits his wife's grave, he changes their lives forever.
The show runs until Saturday, November 19. To book tickets call the Box Office on 01905 611427.
