WORCESTER police are appealing for witnesses following an assault on a man who tried to help another man being kicked on the floor by a gang of 10 people.
The incident happened in Quay Street, in the city centre, when the man saw the gang assaulting the victim as he lay on the ground.
When he made to move towards the incident, he was kicked on the leg and then kicked in the mouth when he was on the floor.
He managed to escape and was taken to the A&E department of Worcestershire Royal Hospital.
The incident happened on Sunday, October 9, but the information has only just come to light.
