A WORCESTER toddler who was flown by emergency air ambulance to a London hospital after contracting meningococcal meningitis is back at home and recovering with her family.
Little Georgia Bryan returned home to May Avenue, Tolladine, on Wednesday after spending four days in intensive care at Guy's and St Thomas' Hospital.
Her mum Claire Tippin said her 15-month-old daughter was now taking the last of her antibiotics.
"It was a real scare," she said. "The treatment she had at the Worcestershire Royal Hospital was second-to-none - we just wish that they could have found an intensive care bed for her closer to home than London.
"They phoned round five other hospitals before Guy's said they had a place."
Georgia is due to have further check-ups during the next few months just to check on her progress.
