I see the police are setting up cameras to catch people who haven't insured their cars.
Who pays for this? Surely it is up to the insurance companies to collect their own insurance?
Will the involvement of the police in this way reduce the amount that car owners have to pay for their motoring insurance? I doubt it very much.
The same argument can be applied for the television licence fee. People are fined very heavily for non-payment of licence fees.
With the help the police are giving these companies it should really bring down the cost of insurance, but it doesn't. It goes higher every year.
