PUB landlord Dean Barber lived up to his name when he cut off his wife's hair for charity.
Forty-three-year-old Sue submitted to the clippers at the Fox And Goose in Westlands, Droitwich, to raise money for Macmillan Cancer Relief, while friends and customers rallied round to sponsor her.
"It's a bit drafty around my ears," she said after exchanging her shoulder length hair for a number one close shave.
"We did it because Macmillan is close to our hearts after the help they have given our parents. I lost my father to cancer four years ago and Dean's mum, Jayne, now has cancer."
An auction, knock-out pool tournament and disco helped boost the sponsorship money to more than £800 and managing director Neil Walsh of Oakwell Brewery has promised to round it up to £1,000.
"We want to thank everyone who helped, especially Tony Daniels, who had his legs waxed, and Cheryl Pritchard, who allowed herself to be auctioned as a slave for the day," said Dean.
