STOURPORT estate agent, Leslie Banks, will be surveying his old school - in his new role as chairman of the governors.
Now semi-retired, Mr Banks, who lives at Torton, has been appointed chairman of the board at the renamed New Elizabethan School in Hartlebury.
Previously known as Hartlebury School and, before that, as Bowbrook, the independent day school is rebuilding itself in pursuit of high academic standards.
Mr Banks was a pupil when it was known as Queen Elizabeth's School, having been granted a royal charter by Elizabeth I in 1559. He also follows in the footsteps of Lord Baldwin of Bewdley, who was chairman of the governors of the old school.
