COOKLEY will be hoping to stump up money for a new artificial wicket when they stage a fund-raising casino night.
The event, which takes place from 8pm tomorrow (Friday), will be held at the Eagle and Spur pub, in Castle Road, in the village.
Cookley have already received a grant of £3,000 from the cricket foundation and need to match that amount in the next six months.
Entry is free and casino chips can be purchased at 50p. Although cash payments cannot be given, players who end up with the most value chips will win prizes.
For more details contact licensees Paul or Joan Hall, who are sponsoring the casino night at the Eagle on 01562 850184.
