A TRUCK driver forced an iron bar through the open window of a car before striking the driver in the face.
Police are seeking witnesses to the assault, which happened on Bewdley Hill, Kidderminster on Wednesday last week, at about 8am.
The victim, a Birmingham man in his 50s, was at traffic lights in his car when he became aware a lorry had pulled up close behind his vehicle.
The truck driver got out and started shouting at the victim, saying he was in the wrong lane, before carrying out the assault.
The car driver managed to dodge the full force of the blow but sustained a minor cut to his nose.
The truck driver was described as white, with a shaved head and a piercing through his nose. His vehicle, which was white, turned up a side street before reaching Bewdley.
PC Leon Westwood, of Kidderminster police, said: "Although the victim was not seriously injured, it was a nasty incident.
"There were a lot of vehicles in the area at the time and we are appealing for witnesses, in particular anyone who may have further information on the truck, to contact us on 08457 444888 or ring Crimestoppers, anonymously, on 0800 555111."
