A WOMAN had her throat grabbed by a man who snatched her bag during broad daylight in Kidderminster.
The 21-year-old victim was walking along a path between Springfield Park and the bottom of Sion Hill when the incident happened at about 2pm on Monday, October 31.
As the woman walked towards the bottom of Sion Hill, the man approached her and demanded she give him her bag. She refused and the robber grabbed her throat and kneed her in the stomach before she handed it over.
The fluorescent pink drawstring-style bag had a blue Playboy logo on the back and contained a black purse, also with a Playboy logo, cash and a black Samsung mobile phone.
A bottle of perfume, a pink non-refillable cigarette lighter with the word Swan written in black ink on it and cigarettes were also in the bag.
The offender was described as Asian, about 5ft 5ins tall and aged between 25 and 30. He had a stocky build, a completely clean shaven head and a thin piece of stubble around his chin. He was wearing clean white tracksuit bottoms, a black zipped tracksuit top and black trainers.
The woman was left "very shaken" by her ordeal, said DC Peter Isanga, of Kidderminster police. Anyone with information can contact him at Kidderminster CID on 08457 444888.
