A WOMAN convicted by a jury of stealing DVDs from her neighbour's prized collection has been locked up.
Lynsey Mackle was invited in for a cup of tea by Malcolm Trow - who then noticed his door keys missing and the thefts, Worcester Crown Court heard.
She claimed he gave her the keys so that she could clean his flat and look after his cat.
Mackle, 22, of Biset Avenue, Comberton, Kidderminster, was convicted of stealing the keys and 150 DVDs. Recorder Richard Atkins remanded her in custody and ordered a pre-sentence report.
Prosecutor Tim Pole said Mackle stole the keys when Mr Trow's back was turned after being invited inside.
She insisted that Mr Trow had told her to borrow as many DVDs as she wanted.
The jury heard under new rules which reveal "bad character" that Mackle had a previous conviction for theft from a dwelling.
