THE inquest into the death of a property lawyer who died when his Jaguar car was in collision with a van, was opened last week.
Paramedics pronounced 58-year-old John Atkinson dead at the scene of the accident on the A422 at Upton Snodsbury, on Wednesday, October 19.
The accident left the car sliced in two and firefighters described it as one of the worst road collisions they had seen.
At the opening of the inquest on Tuesday, at Stourport's County Coroner's Court, Dr Terry Jones gave the cause of death as multiple injuries.
Mr Atkinson, of Cockshot Lane, Dormston, near Droitwich, leaves a widow, Emma. The inquest was adjourned to a date to be fixed.
