EVESHAM are still seeking their first victory of the season after a 4-0 defeat at county rivals Kidderminster.

They are bottom of the Coaching Solution West Midlands Premier Division.

Boss Martin Husbands conceded: "We're in a period of transition at the moment and there's no denying that these are tough times.

"But we have to believe that hard work and commitment will pay off."

Evesham started confidently against Kidderminster, dictating midfield play through Matt Baumber and Stuart Harris but once again lacked a cutting edge in attack.

Although Mark Payne provided encouragement on the right flank, there was little end product despite the perseverance of Ricky Dawe. Frank Lake and Jon Vickery looked solid in defence but Kidderminster pounced on a lack of concentration to take the lead.

They then added two more quick goals, taking advantage of poor passing and a lack of closing down.

In the second-half, Evesham increased their tempo but provided no real threat and Kidderminster added a fourth on the counter-attack.

Husbands added: "We need to think about re-organising things. We have the best set of players available but at the moment we don't look like scoring and seem to gift opposition goals through a lack of organisation and confidence."
