PERSHORE stumbled but did not fall in a crucial Division Two 2-2 draw at Berkswell & Balsall Common.
Either side could have won comfortably in a wildly changing game which saw Pershore take the lead.
Garth Rushton released Pete Powell at the top of the D who set up Gary Tucker to finish at the far post.
But less than five minutes had passed when Toby Whiting surrendered easy possession and a swift counter resulted in the equaliser.
A second blow swiftly followed as Graeme Rushin's dissent earned him a yellow card.
Pershore goalkeeper Stuart White was also temporarily dismissed along with a home striker for fighting.
The visitors' nine men defended well before stand-in 'keeper Rushton allowed a soft shot into the net.
But, when all the players returned to the pitch, Pershore grew stronger and Rushton made up for his error with the leveller.
The Seconds lost 4-1 at home to Stafford as their bid for promotion stalled with several players out.
Iain Rushin scored the goal in his first start of the season, while Martin Thomas impressed with his pace.
Meanwhile, Pershore Thirds conceded all the goals in the second-half in a 5-0 defeat to Redditch who were flattered by the scoreline.
