CHRIS Pickford, consultant archivist to the Carpet Museum Trust Carpet Archives Centre Project, will give a talk on "Kidderminster for Carpets - archives for memory", on Monday.
The Carpet Museum Trust received a grant from the Heritage Lottery Fund in June, 2004, for a two-year project to set up the Carpet Archives Centre. This is now well underway with a team of volunteers being trained to catalogue and store the extensive collection.
In the final phase of the project the catalogue will go online, educational work will start with local schools and an oral history programme will begin.
Everyone will be welcome to the talk at Kidderminster Library, which will start at 7.30pm.
For information telephone 01299 832797.
