A female student at Pershore College was sexually molested three times after last year's Christmas ball, a jury heard.
She claimed Liam Booles first put his hand up her skirt as they sat on a sofa together in an accommodation block.
When she left after midnight, he allegedly followed her and caused her to fall into a rose bed where she was assaulted again.
The student also accused Booles of touching her breast inside her clothing.
Booles, aged 18, of St Anne's Road, Shrewsbury, denies assault by penetration and two counts of sexual assault.
Prosecutor Gerald Bermingham told Worcester Crown Court that Booles, also a student at the college, "touched her three times in a sexual way but she didn't consent".
The witness wept as she described what happened on the night of December 16 last year.
She had attended the Snow Ball with friends, going for a meal and disco afterwards.
She claimed Booles held her closer than other students as they danced.
She was "a bit shocked" when Booles allegedly put his hand up her skirt as she talked to another male student but said she didn't want to cause a scene.
Witness Claire Endersbee said Booles had tried to dance with her but she had felt uncomfortable being near him. She alleged that Booles had his hands "all over" the girl he is accused of assaulting.
However, she admitted she harboured a grudge against him because she was keen on him and he didn't want to know.
Another student, Ann Allen, said she had danced with Booles but he had held her very close and she felt uncomfortable.
The victim told the court that after following her outside, "he wrapped his arm around me and we fell sideways into the rose bed. I fell onto my knees and he was under me."
She alleged he sexually assaulted her. She asked him to stop, then walked off but he followed.
She went on: "He tried to hug me from behind and touched my breast."
The student said Booles followed her into her room, where he grabbed her wrist and tried to put her hand on his private parts before leaving.
Later she sobbed out her story to her boyfriend who got angry and informed the warden. Booles was arrested by police. The trial continues.
