WYRE Forest's Polish community are gathering on Sunday to celebrate their nation's Independence Day.
They are meeting at the Polish Ex-Serviceman's Club in Kidderminster's St George's Terrace to watch the film A Jednak Polska - And Yet Poland.
The film recounts the struggle for the country's borders between 1918 and 1921, when it was at war with the Soviet Union.
Independence Day, which is celebrated as a national holiday in Poland, takes place on November 11 to mark the day when the leader of the First World War Legions sent a message to world leaders saying "The Polish State has arisen by the will of the whole nation".
Councillor Mike Oborski, who is the Consul for the Republic of Poland in the West Midlands, said: "Independence Day is one of the greatest and most symbolic days in the Polish national calendar."
