ANGLING: Studley Road Angling Club held their Carling Cup match on the River Avon on Saturday.
Rob Coles caught two bream, an eel and small fish for a total match-winning weight of 4lbs 10oz.
G Penny came second with 3lbs 8oz ahead of Glyn Blewett (2lbs 9oz) and Chris Coles (1lb 11oz).
Alcester's Riverside Angling Club held their Fur and Feather competition at the weekend with Graham Blowers taking top spot with 11lbs 8oz of chub.
Trevor Collins finished second with 10lbs 12oz ahead of Dave Strain (9lbs 8oz) and Ron Wright (8lbs 2oz).
And the Riverside club has also held their annual over-60s competition.
A huge 23lbs 11oz haul of bream ensured the honours went to Philip Hall.
The in-form Graham Blowers was second with 16lbs 14oz of chub ahead of Fred Walker (10lbs 4oz) and John Blunn (9lbs 8oz).
The club thanked Neil Johnson for the use of his water and Alcester Tackle's Alan Stephens who donated the trophy.
