Droitwich women's 1st IX 4 Stourport women's 2nd XI 4
HANNAH Weston bagged a late equaliser for Spa as they earned a point in a packed match in the County League on Saturday.
Weston scored late on to ensure it was honours even.
Linzi Deacon opened the scoring in the first half when she powered a shot in from the edge of the penalty area.
Their rivals scored on the break to equalise but Droitwich, sponsored by the Royal Navy, hit back when Kate Rodgman put Spa ahead for the second time in the game.
Both sides looked capable of scoring in an open match and Stourport levelled the scores once again to frustrate Droitwich.
Rodgman bagged her second to put Droitwich back in the driving seat and give them a 3-2 lead at half time.
Droitwich endured a difficult start to the second half, when Stourport pounced on two errors in defence to go 4-3 ahead.
Spa 'keeper Helen Dent then denied Stourport with some good saves.
Weston though made sure it was honours even when she scored after a flowing attack down the left wing.
The women take on Worcester Norton at home on Saturday.
