Evesham Utd U-13 B 5, Peopleton 1
THOUGH exerting much of the pressure in the first half, Evesham were unable to find the net until close on the half-hour mark.
Tom Evans won the ball and found James Bearcroft in space on the edge of the box, where he had the time to fire a shot into the net.
United killed off the match in an eight-minute spell after the restart. Elliot Grady found the net after some fine work from Bearcroft, Evans and Henry Woods, who then scored the third.
Colin Philpott's long-range shot took a wicked deflection off a defender to beat the keeper and Woods then completed his brace when converting a cross from Bearcroft.
A period of Peopleton pressure gained some reward after the Evesham defence failed to clear but the goal only served as a consolation.
