I JUST had to write, as I couldn't believe what I was reading in the Advertiser/Messenger about cut backs on hospital services.

Which planet are the county health chiefs coming from? Certainly not this one by the way they present no interest in the needs of Bromsgrove people and surrounding areas. Isn't it bad enough not having any GP services over the weekend and just basic services at the Princess of Wales Community Hospital.

Having used the A&E at Alexandra Hospital, Redditch, I am still undergoing treatment with tests. So, like many other people, I depend on the services there, also the Princess of Wales for consultations. If these services were to close, what would I do?

In my situation I would need an ambulance. Their plan to move services beggars belief. Worcestershire Royal can't cope as it is. Where do they think the extra people are going to go, and where are the extra cars going to park, and where are the extra ambulances going to come from.

How much longer will we have to wait for ambulances, to be seen for consultations, tests, operations etc., or is it going to be a case of too late - patient dead. Which would be to their advantage as the waiting lists and costs would be cut, therefore meeting their cost-cutting plans. Is this the main idea behind the cuts?

Hospitals surely should be more than just about money.
