A DROITWICH model club sets sail to show off its impressive collection of marine models.
Droitwich Model Boat Club will be one of the major attractions at the Model Boat Show between November 11 to 13 at Warwickshire Exhibition Centre.
The show is the only indoor event of its kind in the country that focuses solely on marine models and will be packed with the best maritime miniatures in Europe, including warships, powerboats, hovercrafts, lifeboats and Thames barges.
Droitwich is bringing a varied range of 20 models to the show, ranging from naval torpedoes, German gunboats, steam boats and luxury yachts.
Chairman John Webb said: "The club have a extensive range of models and we love bringing them to the show.
"The show is the only one in the Midlands which solely concentrates on marine modelling.
"It is a lovely show, which gets better every year, and we are delighted to take part.
"We invite modellers from all over the Midlands to join us," added Mr Webb.
As well as models the show will have two live action boating pools, while children are encouraged on the second and third days of the exhibition to take an interest in modelling with the experts.
The show runs between 10am and 5pm and 10am and 4pm (Sunday). Tickets cost between £6 and £19.
