A BROMSGROVE woman said goodbye to the hustle and bustle of factory life after 54 years.
Doreen Ward, from Rock Hill, Bromsgrove, has worked at B Sanders, on the Aston Fields industrial estate, ever since she left school aged 15.
She originally made buttons, before becoming a print cutter in the 1980s when the factory switched to making badges. Doreen officially retired last Thursday, but was presented with flowers and gifts at a special celebration last Wednesday afternoon.
"I have had a lot of happy moments here," she said. "I shall really miss the company, because it's what I've always done. It's been an extra special day, but very unexpected."
