A MOTORCYCLIST and pillion passenger were both seriously hurt in an accident on Woodrow Drive on Monday.
The collision involving a red Kawasaki motorcycle and a blue and grey Rover happened near to the Jolly Farmer pub at 5.20pm.
The man riding the motorbike was taken to the Alexandra Hospital and later transferred to Walsgrave Hospital in Coventry with head injuries and broken bones. His condition is described as critical.
His male pillion passenger is in a serious condition at the Alex with broken bones, while the car driver was treated for shock at the scene.
The road was closed for almost three hours.
Pc Paul Downes, of Redditch police, said: "This was a very serious collision and our thoughts are with the people involved and their families.
"We have already spoken to several witnesses but if there are any other witnesses who saw anything, even if it seems insignificant, we urge them to call us on 08457 444888."
