AT our October meeting our speaker, Ingrid Walden, took us back to the early 16th century, for which she was suitable dressed.
She gave us an insight into the clothes, fashions, beliefs, living conditions and trade - she appeared as Hope the Pedlar.
We were alternately amused and horrified, and decided we were very lucky to be living in the 21st century.
Congratulations were offered to member Jean Lees, who had won a cake in the Taylors' Tea competition in the County News.
Some time was spent deciding where to have our Christmas meal, and where to visit on the way.
We will have a stall at the Christmas fair at the Ecumenical Centre on November 19.
Our next meeting will be on November 14. Members and friends will be welcome.
