TEAMS from the Bromsgrove and Redditch Table Tennis League clashed in the Clements Cup.
In the round's closest game Arrow Vale C edged Droitwich Eagles C 5-4.
Droitwich Hawks were too strong for Droitwich Dragons - winning 8-1. Barnt Green A overcame West Midlands Phones B 7-2, with Chris Dilworth winning all three of his matches for the victors, while Gary Jackson won two for Phones.
Division One side Astwood Bank were too strong for Division Two side SPSP, winning 8-1.
Bob Barlow won all three of his matches as Lickey Rocs defeated Barnt Green Hornets, while Graeme Farrall won two for the beaten side.
Division One champions Barnt Green B defeated Bentley Nomads 7-2, with Pat McCabe and Sasha Grokohtov winning three matches each. Bernie Leech and Margaret Buxton won one game each for the Nomads.
Droitwich Villains got the better of Carter Retail 6-3, with Mike Langston winning three.
In the league Droitwich Hawks defeated Droitwich Tigers 6-4 in Division One.
Braces
Kate Hughes and Steve Baker both bagged braces for the victors, while Nick Witham got the Hawks' other win.
Rob Hartherley won all three of his matches for tamed Tigers.
Droitwich Print defeated West Midlands Phones B 6-4. Tony Birch (2) and Trevor Simmons (3) won their matches and then teamed up to take the doubles.
In Division Two Doitwich Dragons drew 5-5 with Droitwich Eagles. Liam Harvey and Neil Pickering won two matches each and sealed the doubles for the Dragons, while Alex Roberts (2) and Ashley Harvey won the Eagle's matches.
Bentley Terriers defeated Lickey Rocs 7-3, with Peter Hartles and Mike Kirwan winning three matches each.
SPSP lost to Barnt Green Hornets 7-3 - who had Graeme Farrall win all three of his matches, while Ivor Anderson won two.
Bentley Nomads got the better of Arrow Vale C 9-1 and Carter Retail beat Arrow Vale 10-0.
