A LOCAL group supporting stroke victims recently celebrated its 10th anniversary.
The Redditch and Bromsgrove Dysphasia Support Service was formed a decade ago to help people who suffer from communication problems after they have had a stroke.
Sandra Langford, who runs the group, said they met every Thursday at the Tardebigge Community Hall and also offered a home visiting service.
"We had a lunch with all the people who receive the service at the moment and anyone who has in the past," she said.
"It was a celebration of the fact we have been going for 10 years and there are some volunteers have been with me for 10 years as well - it's brilliant."
The celebrations coincided with the Stroke Association's campaign Stroke is a Medical Emergency, which aims to remind people a stroke is an emergency and if they see any signs of one, to act fast and call 999.
