SEVERAL Redditch police officers and staff have received awards for their hard work and dedication to the job.
The awards were presented by divisional commander Chief Supt Mark Howard at a ceremony at West Mercia Constabulary's headquarters.
Pc Stuart Crebbin was awarded for leadership skills and professionalism he displayed in an operation to reduce vehicle crime.
Pc Anthony Flannagan, for displaying tenacity and resilience when dealing with several serious incidents in the north east sector. He arrested five offenders, clearing up 20 offences, and his efforts had a significant impact on the quality of life of the community.
Community Service Officers Louise Bradbury and Ben Poppleton were commended for displaying initiative while on patrol in an area where several robberies had been committed. They pursued and detained a suspect.
Also commended was an unnamed member of the public.
The Halesowen man displayed exemplary courage and bravery in stopping his car to go to the assistance of a Redditch officer who had been assaulted with a stun gun during an arrest.
Mr Howard said: "North Worcestershire has a team of officers and staff who are hard-working and dedicated to making the area safer, reducing crime and improving detections.
"Their efforts make a big difference to the quality of life of the communities we serve."
The ceremony was held on October 27.
