A 12-YEAR-old Bidford girl answered the front door at her family home to find a carrier bag engulfed in flames about 3ft high at the weekend.
Police were called to the home in Laurence Way at 5.43pm on Sunday.
A gang of four or five youths had been seen playing in the area, knocking on doors and running away.
It is believed they knocked on the door of the particular house at around 5.15pm and ran away, then knocked again half an hour later.
When the girl answered the door she found the bag on fire on the doorstep very close to the door.
Police also believe some sort of accelerant had been used to cause the flames to grow to the size they were.
