REMEMBRANCE Day will be marked in and around Alcester with a number of parades and services on Friday and Sunday.
The town's branch of the Royal British Legion will hold a Remembrance Parade and two-minute silence on Friday.
Anyone is welcome to join the parade, which will march from the middle of High Street to St Nicholas Church, starting at 10.30am, ready for the silence at 11am.
On Saturday, the Legion will also hold a Festival of Remembrance Concert at the Sports Hall in the Greig Centre.
The concert will feature Alcester's choirs and the Victoria Silver Band, plus supporting artists. It starts at 7.30pm, admission is by programmes costing £7 and parking is available at The Rotary International and St Benedict's School. For more details, call 01789 763113.
And on Sunday, a parade and church service will be held in the town centre.
The parade will meet in Bleachfield Street at 10.20am and will march to St Nicholas Church for a service at 11am. Anyone just wishing to attend the church service should meet there at 10.45am. For more details, call 01789 763113.
In Bidford-on-Avon on Sunday, a parade will start at 9.40am from the Royal British Legion club, opposite the Anglo Saxon car park, to St Laurence Church and from there to the war memorial at about 10.50am. The ceremony will start at 11am.
In Wootton Wawen, the Sunday service will begin at 10.55am for 11am with the trumpeter at the war memorial. Anyone is welcome to join and follow into church to sing appropriate hymns to round off the occasion.
