WANNABE rotters turned out in force to find out more about how their household waste can benefit the environment.

The Waste And Resources Action Programme was on hand at CrownGate Shopping Centre, Worcester, to give advice and help to residents at its first ever compost clinic.

At Friday's event shoppers picked up composting bins to get them started and existing rotters were asked about their bins and how to care for their contents.

Further clinics are set to be held around the city as part of a WRAP roadshow.

WRAP is launching a national campaign to raise consumer awareness of recycling and to encourage people to take action and recycle.
