DAVE Busst is backing his pepped-up forward line to shoot Evesham United out of the Southern Premier League danger-zone.
The Robins travel to promotion-chasing Banbury United tonight in search of their first back-to-back league wins of a troubled season (7.45).
Their survival hopes were given a timely boost on Saturday when prolific striker Richard Ball scored twice in a 2-0 triumph at Chesham United.
Ball, who also bagged a hat-trick last week in the Worcestershire Senior Cup defeat to Studley, was supported in attack by debutant John Williams.
The former Coventry City man made his first Robins appearance alongside ex-Kidderminster Harriers forward Matt Lewis, who starred on the right of midfield.
To accommodate both new signings, United cut their cloth by releasing Matty Hall to Shifnal Town and Jae Martin to Solihull Borough. Jermaine Clarke is also on loan at Redditch United.
Common Road chief Busst has been delighted with Ball's return of five goals in two games, but believes the duty will be shared about more following his latest additions.
"I felt we needed some fresh faces," said Busst. "We need to score more goals and I believe we're bringing in two players who can bring us that.
"Bally's goal ratio has not been too bad this season, but we really need to be looking at scoring more goals throughout the team."
The Robins grabbed their first win in seven attempts at Chesham and another three points tonight will take them out of the relegation zone.
Busst added: "At Chesham, we did not play any worse or any better than we have before. Scoring at the right time helped and we were probably a bit more ruthless.
"It was important we got three points. After our last few games, it was our just rewards and it gives the lads a bit of confidence.
"We must take that into tonight's game. We've not won two games in a row, so it would be nice to do that."
Malvern Town will re-take top spot in the Midland Alliance with victory at home to mid-table Oldbury Town tonight (7.45).
Town have won 10 games on the bounce, but without a fixture last Saturday, they slipped to second behind Quorn.
