A WOMAN who had a mastectomy 10 years ago has since helped more than 3,000 others come to terms with the loss of a breast by supplying specially made underwear.
Vivienne Hodson, who runs the business Confidantes with stepdaughter Anny Roper, discovered she had breast cancer in 1995.
She went shopping in Worcester after her operation but could not find any pocketed bras.
Anny, whose daughter Sarah-Beth also helps out, said: "She was really frustrated and came back home and spent hours phoning around shops across Worcestershire, but none of them could help.
"We did many months of research and came to the conclusion that pretty and pocketed bras were virtually non-existent.
"We started the firm in a room in my house and then moved to fitting rooms in Pershore. We have been in our current shop in Cleobury Mortimer for two years."
The firm offers a variety of matching underwear as well as swimwear.
