ORGANISERS of a charity picnic and jazz event held to raise funds for St Richard's Hospice are blowing their own trumpets after raising £1,736.
Hundreds of people packed a picnic basket and turned up to Bransford Manor to relax to the laid back sounds of the Jack Daniels Big Band.
Bransford Manor is the home of the chairman of St Richard's New Hospice Appeal, Andrew Grant.
Mr Grant, who is estate agent, and High Sheriff of Worcestershire, opened the grounds on Sunday, September 18 especially.
Marilyn Peachey, St Richard's director of fund-raising, said: "We are very grateful to Andrew Grant for opening up the lovely grounds to his home and to Andy Hiseman and the Andrew Grant team for staging such a great day and raising such a fantastic amount for our appeal."
