THE next fundraising event for the parish hall renovation fund is a bridge drive on Tuesday (November 8) at 6.45pm for 7pm. Tickets £5 include refreshments and are available from the village shop or Sue Bolt on (01531) 640268.
During this month other fundraising activities include a Christmas Fair on Saturday, November 19, from 10.30am to noon and at 7.30pm North Country Theatre return to Bosbury with The Imitation Game, written by Booker prize-winning author Ian McEwan. The play was televised in 1980 as a BBC Play for Today and is a moving story of a young woman's experience of World War Two. Tickets from Brian Clutterbuck on (01531) 540415. On Saturday, November 26, at 7.30pm Flicks in the Sticks will be showing Whale Rider set in a small New Zealand coastal village, a tale of unusual succession to Maori chief.
Bosbury WI hold the annual general meeting on Thursday, November 10, followed by travel talk.
FOBS fireworks are tonight (Friday). Gates open 6.30pm. Adults £5, children free.
On Sunday (November 6) at Holy Trinity, Bosbury, 11am service.
