A musician will fulfil a dream today (Friday) when he performs to a huge crowd at the National Exhibition Centre in Birmingham.
Singer-songwriter Oliver Harvey, from Naunton, near Upton, was selected from thousands of music students across the country to perform at this weekend's Music Live exhibition on the Kerrang! stage.
Around 30,000 people are expected to attend the three-day event.
"It's an amazing opportunity," said Oliver. "It will be great to play in front of a large audience like this and maybe pick up some more fans."
Oliver will perform with his three-piece band, Boothill Town, in which he sings and plays guitar.
The band formed in September last year, when Oliver met fellow member Jason Langdon at Worcester College of Technology, where they are both on a performing musician course.
Oliver is glad they are scheduled first on the bill as, although they have played at venues such as Worcester's Marr's Bar, this will be their biggest show yet.
"We're incredibly excited at the moment, but I'm sure there will be some nerves on the day," he said. "Being on first is great as it means we won't really have time to get nervous."
