Evesham Ladies 4, Kidderminster 1
BACK to full strength, Evesham proved to be the stronger side on their return to league action last Saturday.
After several early chances, the first goal finally came following a well-worked short corner that saw Danni Cox find the net from Karen Robinson's cross.
The home side wasted several more chances and only went into the second half a single goal to the good.
Evesham were the more determined side throughout the game with Emma Scott solid in defence and having to cope without Jude Taylor who was sidelined after picking up an injury in the warm-up.
Good link-up play between Rhian Fuge and Vanessa Dufty saw Alice Cook slip an excellent ball through to Cox who netted for a second time.
Content to sit on their lead Evesham were caught off guard and an unmarked Kidderminster player reduced the deficit.
However, a third goal from player of the match Tash Kuiper courtesy of a penalty flick eased the nerves and victory was sealed with a great goal from Dufty.
The match ball was sponsored by Party Dazzlers.
There's an 11.30am start in Redditch on Saturday for the match against Bromsgrove.
