CHILDREN at a nursery in Worcester have been learning about the Hindu festival of Diwali.
Cleo Homer, aged three, (above) was among the youngsters at Sunflower Day Nursery in Chedworth Drive, Warndon, who made Rangoli chalk patterns, cooked Indian food and dressed up in traditional wear.
Diwali is otherwise known as the festival of light and celebrates the triumph of good over evil, knowledge over ignorance.
Meanwhile staff and children at Warndon's Leapfrog Day Nursery also celebrated the Hindu festival, making Indian clay candle holders. Pictured right are Finlay Giles, aged three and four-year-old Sarah Cross.
