INTEREST AND LEISURE CLUB: Eighty-three members were taken to the Fire College in Moreton to celebrate the 20th anniversary of the club. The event was organised by Colin Hancox. A buffet meal was presented with hot and cold food.

Tony Minchella provided musical entertainment.

Chairman Ben Jeffrey gave a brief resume of the club's activities and he praised his committee for all their hard work in running the events. He has been chairman since the inception of the club and is the longest-serving member. It was Wyne Payne's idea to form it and Ben gave his support from the start. He hoped the club would continue to thrive for many years.
