WORCESTER'S Swan Theatre Amateur Company is presenting Educating Rita the revised version of a comedy by Willy Russell from Tuesday to Saturday, November 22 to 26, at 7.30pm.
Educating Rita, about a working class Liverpool girl's hunger for education, is simply a marvellous play, painfully funny and passionately serious; an hilarious social documentary; a fairy-tale with a quizzical, half-happy ending.
Frank is a tutor of English whose disillusioned outlook on life drives him to the bottle. Rita is a hairdresser, hungry to find some meaning to life. With Frank as her tutor, Rita embarks on an Open University course and her education begins. Call the box office on 01905 611 427.
