CLEOBURY Mortimer ladies bounced back from their opening day West Midlands Volleyball League Division 2 defeat by beating Tettenhall Seconds 3-1.
Having lost to Tettenhall thirds in the previous match Cleobury's determined approach helped them to 25-16, 23-15, 25-16, 25-23 victories.
Cleobury were back to full strength and played positively with Kayleigh Perks their player of the match.
There were also impressive performances from hitters Mandy Price and Robyn Slingsby who dominated front court, while Julie White and Louise Rochelle defended well.
The Mortimer maids hope the win will be the first of many after the merger of their West Midlands 1 and 2 teams to create a stronger squad.
