A QUARTET from Amazing Feet Running Club braved the strong winds and rain to complete the Snowdon Marathon.
Shaw Pye recorded a time of three hours 36 minutes 19 seconds, Matt Smith 3-50, Martin Howles 4-8-9, and David Pye 3-40-55.
There were 19 members taking part in the Bells of Pattingham seven-mile multi-terrain race, a league fixture.
In a field of more than 800, Howles was first club member to finish, in 60th place, in 49 minutes four seconds.
He was followed by Craig Lewis (61st) in 49-13, David Whymant (80th) 50-27, Sarah Armstrong (89th) 51-5, D Pye (152nd) 54-16, John Amos (176th) 54-56, Simon Gregg (196th) 55-21, Andy Norris (333rd) 59-45, Sarah Lewis (398th) one hour 2-5, Paul Hancock (399th) 1-2-6, Justin Conner (443rd) 1-3-27, Richard Baker (486th) 1-4-37, Colin Lucas (523rd) 1-5-54, Lindsay Pulley (569th) 1-5-49, Tamara Carse (597th) 1-8-28, Gerry Sanders (598th) 1-8-28, Marie Byrne (716th) 1-15-19, Jackie Atkinson (760th) 1-20-29, and the injured James Young (763rd) 1-21-14.
In the Stroud Half Marathon there were 1,700 finishers, including 14 club members.
S Pye recorded a personal best 1-22-15 to finish 62nd, and he was followed by Craig Bone (114th) 1-25-51, Whymant (163rd) 1-28-10, Amos (225th) 1-30-37, C Lewis (229th ) a personal best 1-30-43, Howles (240th) 1-31-45, Armstrong (289th and 5th F35) 1-33-54, Rachel Ward (349th and fifth F45) 1-36-3, D Pye (468th) 1-39-40, Sanders (778th) 1-48-18, S Lewis (806th) personal best 1-48-58, Norris (830th) 1-49-36, Carse (1,015th) personal best 1-55-27, Baker (1,163rd) 1-59-43.
As a result of the league races at Pattingham and Stroud, Amos leads from C Lewis and D Pye.
In the race for the ladies title, Armstrong has closed the gap on S Lewis, with Carse in third place.
With points totals close and just three events to go, anybody in the top three who misses a race will lost their position.
Pulley recorded 25-36 for 230th position out of more than 400 finishers at the Birmingham University 5k race, where Conner finished 243rd in 26-8.
