FOUR members of the senior ladies section of Kidderminster and Stourport Athletics Club travelled to Southsea to take part in the BUPA Great South Run, a 10-mile road race.
Caroline Cresswell and Laura Oakley completed the course in one hour 30 minutes 30 seconds, Pam Manning in 1-33-10 and Jean Harrison in 1-33.
All four ladies achieved personal best times.
A group of 21 juniors took part in the first round of the Young Athletes Cross Country League, against the best athletes in the West Midlands.
At Pype Hayes Road, Sutton Coldfield, the best KSAC performances of the day came from Joe Donkin, who battled to eighth place in the Under-11 boys race, and Craig Baldwin, fifth for the U-13 boys.
The club's U-11 boys and U-13 girls each finished fifth overall.

Girls: U-13 - 30th Claire Blakeway, 41 Chloe Richardson, 46 Hannah Sparkes, 51 Chelsea Kaye, 61 Alison White (team fifth); U-15 - 21 Laura Baldwin, 44 Charlotte Whorton, 70 Tara Oakley (12th).
Boys: U-11 - 8 Donkin, 26 Falko Sasz, 40 Nick Pritchard, 48 Sam Bainbridge (fifth); U-13 - 5 C Baldwin, 10 Ross Anthony, 30 Jamie Whorton, 341 Chris Harler, 56 Mitchell Williams, 66 Jamie Burton; U-15 - 16 Tom Sparkes; U-17 men - 8 Aiden Dourneen.
