A MOTHER and daughter who went shopping with forged £20 notes have been ordered to do unpaid work for the community.
Mona Jones, 40, and Rebecca Jones, 22, of Watery Lane, Stourport, pleaded guilty at Worcester Crown Court to conspiring to pass the counterfeit notes.
They were each made the subject of a 100-hour community punishment order. Recorder David Jones said they were not at the core of the fraud but he felt they had been used.
The notes were very good photocopies, said Mr Andrew Wallace, prosecuting.
Mr Wallace said they were passed at three retail outlets in the Kidderminster area before the women were arrested.
