JUST a few weeks ago all the footpaths on the Lakes Estate in Bewdley were laid with a new surfacing material. Very smart it looked too.
However, within just a matter of days, it was being dug up in one or two places by utility companies.
Now Severn Trent are digging quite a few more holes too, so within a short space of time we will end up with loads of Tarmac patches again.
Would someone like to explain just who was allowed to spend our taxes on resurfacing our footpaths and then let them be dug up immediately.
In private industries that have to make a profit to survive these people would soon be out of a job, but I suppose we will have to suffer tax rises to cover the cost of this folly.
