A NORTH and Middle Littleton parish councillor has been presented with a certificate commemorating his 50 years on the council.
Councillor Alan Lloyd of North Littleton, who served as chairman for 25 years, said: "It was a great honour to receive the certificate for the work I've carried out with the council. I've always enjoying working on the council as keeping some of the old roots in the village is important to me and many others like myself."
The 80-year-old, who is vice-chairman of the council, is looking forward to serving many more years. "Gaining this award makes me feel old but I also realise that a lot of younger members on the council look to me for guidance about rules and regulations," he added.
