CAPTAIN Pete Best saw his injury-ravaged Droitwich Seconds beaten 9-3 at top-of-the-table Warwick.
Despite trying to keep things tight early on, Droitwich conceded within 90 seconds.
This set the tone and by half-time it was 7-1, with the only goal coming from the prolific Nick Bates.
Following a heated half-time talk, Droitwich turned in a better second-half performance.
New signing Dave Mills and Matt Darbyshire scored after the break although Warwick scored late on.
The Firsts continue to search for their first in the West Midlands Premier Division after a 5-2 home defeat against leaders Warwick.
Paul Atkinson's side scored through Ed Deacon and Nick Adams.
Droitwich now try their luck with a trip to Kings Heath Pickwick on Saturday.
