BEN Carter has taken up a new post as field officer with the Country Land and Business Association covering West Gloucestershire, a role he believes can help make a real difference to the livelihoods of farmers and landowners.
The 26-year-old business studies graduate said: "I'm pleased that I'm working for an organisation which concentrates all its efforts on rural issues and it also gives me the opportunity to work with the local farming community."
CLA regional director John Mortimer said: "Mr Carter brings an immense knowledge of farming and rural issues to the association and I'm sure he will be a great asset. He understands the concern of our rural communities and how the campaigning work of the CLA can make a difference to their lives."
