WHY not give a little kindness to a rescued horse while doing your Christmas shopping this year?
The International League for the Protection of Horses, Glenda Spooner Farm, Hoarwithy, Ross-on-Wye, is holding its Christmas Shopping Day on Saturday, December 10. Admission is free.
Many of the 50 horses and ponies on the farm have backgrounds like the star of TV's Animal Hospital Homer. When ILPH field officer Jeff Herrington first came across Homer he obviously hadn't been handled for some time.
At the Christmas Shopping Day visitors can help the horses being rehabilitated by buying the gifts, Christmas cards and toys from 1pm to 4pm.
